Is there more pleasure in loving
than there is in being loved?
For me it’s certainly more comfortable!
I don’t want to be looked at, to be praised,
to accept thanks or acknowledgement
of my acts.I need to be loved, to be acknowledged
as worthy. But don’t look at me closely!
I prefer to stand in the shadows,
to acknowledge the company,
the achievements of others.
But I need to be loved to feel worthy.
I need to be loved in order to serve.
