We can all strive to become traders, people who have learned how to both give and receive. We each have the capacity to give what we have freely and to ask, gratefully, for what we don’t have. That is the greatest gift of all. ~ Anonymous. Today’s Gift: Daily Meditations for Families (Hazelden Meditation Series) . Hazelden Publishing. Kindle Edition.
Are you more comfortable giving or receiving?
I find hiving a natural act to the extent
I recently was told,”I won’t take any more from you.”
But to let someone else do a favor for me?
No, thanks. I’ll do it myself,
whether I can…physically or
that I have the requisite skill set.
I’m fine. I can do it myself…or i’ll pretend I can
whether or not I know how.
God. give me the grace to ask for help,
to accept it when it’s offered.
Make me a trader, able to receive
as freely as I give!
Help me find the capacity to give what I have freely
AND to ask, gratefully, for what I don’t have.
