all ages, sizes, descriptions.
We come with unmanageable lives,
tied to substances that comfort us.
We stay as both the adult who came,
better able to cope, but also
as the children within, learning
to live with the pain and to repair
what we had done to others,
learning to live as responsible adults
who find we can love the child within.
