You're Not Illegal

Guilt does weird things
like convincing you what you did
just had to be a crime. Of course,
you might have committed one...
but what you did could not have
created the offense. Governments

alone make laws. And if your act
was illegal, there are procedures for that
and you quell your guilt by addressing it,
owning it, accepting the consequences.
And if it's not a crime, address the guilt,
accept it. make amends, find your peace
but you are not illegal.
