Love yourself into all that you always wanted. We can stop treating ourselves the way others treated us, if they behaved in a less than healthy, desirable way. If we have learned to see ourselves critically, conditionally, and in a diminishing and punishing way, it’s time to stop. Other people treated us that way but it’s even worse to treat ourselves that way now. ~ Beattie, Melody. The Language of Letting Go: Hazelden Meditation Series (pp. 143-144). Hazelden Publishing. Kindle Edition.
Are you happy with who you are?
Would you be happier if you were changed?
Are you willing to try
to love yourself into all that you always wanted?
Would you be angry if someone else
treated you the way you treat yourself?
Do you feel guilty if you snub the implied
third greatest commandment?
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul
and with all your mind.
This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it:
Love your neighbor as yourself.”
So what’s the third? Love you!!
Love yourself into all that you always wanted!
