Not Today

I'm Jocelyn, and I'm a compulsive Overeater.

I have the disease, and it's hopeless.

I'm powerless over food and my life

is beyond my power to control.

I'm a Compulsive Overeater and I always will be

but just for today I'm in recovery,

with a daily reprieve
contingent on the maintenance
of my spiritual condition.

And for today, I will not eat compulsively.
