as anger, arrogance, accusation,
bitterness, belittling, scorn, taunts,
derision, pomposity, and rage then
identifying it as fear and responding
not from our own fear but from love,
forgiveness, gentleness, care,
compassion and kindness
represents a learned behavior.
But our tranquility,
our emotional embrace leaves us in peace
and may well dilute the other's fear,
changing them and their outlook.
We in Recovery have spent years
trying to change others without success
but in living love we can change not just
a person but the chain reaction
may actually change the world!
