Humility

Humility is trying to do God’s will as I see it, to the best of my ability, at all times, in all places. ~ Anonymous, Overeaters. For Today (Kindle Locations 1179-1180). Overeaters Anonymous, Inc.. Kindle Edition.
Who would ever think that the meaning
of my humility has nothing to do with how I feel
about me, how you and others feel about me.
Do others agree with the definition?
Gerald May says, "Grace enables humility within us
by empowering our realization that our efforts
are insufficient by themselves." He agrees.
Karen Casey says. "Forgiving ourselves
and others, daily, heightens our appreciation
of all life and enhances our humility." She agrees.
I agree. Do you? Does this understanding
make humility more acceptable for you to have?
