Times of transition are strenuous, but I love them. They are an opportunity to purge, rethink priorities, and be intentional about new habits. We can make our new normal any way we want. ~ Kristin Armstrong
An opportunity to purge...
but no bulimia involved.
We purge what we want to be rid of,
our low self-esteem, our sense of failure,
our fear, anger, despair, resentments.
We look at the possibility or real change,
hear people who obviously have seemed
as hopeless, helpless as we feel,
yet they proclaim changed lives,
hopes and dreams come true,
and they speak of finding
in these rooms, "We are all together now,
reaching out our hands
for power and strength
greater than ours, and as we join hands,
we find love and understanding
beyond our wildest dreams.”
It's a new normal we can live with,
one we long to live with!
but no bulimia involved.
We purge what we want to be rid of,
our low self-esteem, our sense of failure,
our fear, anger, despair, resentments.
We look at the possibility or real change,
hear people who obviously have seemed
as hopeless, helpless as we feel,
yet they proclaim changed lives,
hopes and dreams come true,
and they speak of finding
in these rooms, "We are all together now,
reaching out our hands
for power and strength
greater than ours, and as we join hands,
we find love and understanding
beyond our wildest dreams.”
It's a new normal we can live with,
one we long to live with!
