It is difficult to make a man miserable while he feels worthy of himself and claims kindred to the great God who made him. ~ Abraham LincolnWe can assume Lincoln spoke
in the linguistic patterns of the day
and that the "man" could as well,
WOULD as well have included women.
And the man/woman being considered
would certainly have also included
the one hearing he statement.
So, the sixteenth POTUS was talking to me!
And it's true. It's difficult to be miserable
when I feel worthy of myself,
and for me, that can only happen
when I recognize my kinship
with the God of my understanding,
the Creator of the universe...and of ME!
