Anywhere

Anywhere. I've learned to be in recovery
wheresoever I may be. Emotions roil,
tempers flare, words fly, but I don't have to fall,
need not lose serenity, may continue in love.
I'm not in charge, need not change others,
cannot cause others to see things my way.
I take orders, do the next right thing,
and stand ready to be used as a tool —
for a power far greater than I – to mend turmoil,
to bring peace to people who need some,
who may see in me a state of mind
they'd love to find somewhere.
