Sold Out for a Meal

See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son. ~ Hebrews 12:16

How many compulsive overeaters
have changed the whole course
of their lives because of the compulsion?
Maybe not many for a single meal,
but putting the obsession above all else
in their lives? That’s true for most of us!
We are essentially in bondage to food.
The obsession controls our lives
until we learn to surrender,
to turn our lives and our wills
over to a positive power
greater than ourselves!
