A piece of God in me.
The idea clashes
with the wisdom I've quoted
that God is in us
not like a blueberry in a muffin
but like the ocean in a wave.
But not really. Who's to say
the God in me like an ocean in a wave
is not that piece of God.
God's so mighty, so large,
that only God could be a piece
the size of an ocean.
But it's true, that piece of God
must be embedded, a part of me
in order that I might truly find
that instinctively I know
what to do, how to be.
That's what the Big Book says...
