Who can ponder the earth,
the mountains, the firmament
above believing chance
brought them to be, to last,
to proclaim the majesty
of great nothingness.
Should happenstance reign,
should fluke events shape
history, surely impermanence
would prevail,
chaos would reign,
nothing would long exist.
