Ask Enough of Life

You do not ask too much of life, but far too little. When you let your mind be drawn to bodily concerns, to things you buy, to eminence as valued by the world, you ask for sorrow, not for happiness. ~ Schucman, Dr. Helen.  A Course in Miracles. Foundation for Inner Peace. Kindle Edition.

How much do you want of life?
Are you satisfied with life today?
Were you yesterday?
Do you expect to be tomorrow?
Do you ask too much of life?
Enough?Anything?
Do you feel it’s your place
to expect, to wish, to strive for?
On what level are you comfortable
making wishes? Do you wish
more easily for yourself? for someone else?
for the good of all?
Are you asking for sorrow, not for happiness?
Do you want to change wishes, expectations,
acceptable standards?
Are you asking enough of life?
