How easy it is for me to believe myself a worm.
Self respect has never been strong
despite my trying to make it seem to be so.
Nobody likes me, everybody hates me
I've eaten so many worms I'm one.
But I'm not.
No matter how long I might believed it.
I have value, have a Power who watches after me,
who directs my Steps to serenity, to joy and peace.
I may be a worm, but I glow!
